Psychoanalytic psychotherapy

“Therefore, let us not undervalue small signs; perhaps by means of them we will succeed in getting on the track of greater things.”
Sigmund Freud

Life is challenging - at times, our experiences can feel impossibly hard. You might be feeling anxious or depressed for reasons that seem very apparent to you, or totally obscure. Maybe you are struggling to process past or ongoing painful events or trauma. Perhaps you feel lost or confused, and would like to explore your inner life with a view to understanding yourself better. No matter what specific issues they may be contending with, most people seeking therapy are ultimately seeking to suffer less and enjoy more.

I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in training at The Site for Contemporary Psychoanalysis. I see psychoanalysis as a caring kind of listening and conversation. I am especially interested in how relationships impact our lives, and how our suffering and enjoyment is shaped by the society we live in.

If you are interested in beginning therapy, please email me: sophiekrosa@gmail.com.

If I have availability, I will initially suggest we have a free phone call to explore whether we feel we could be a good fit to work together and discuss practicalities. I work from a consulting room in Hackney, London, as well as online. My fee is a matter for initial discussion, and I reserve reduced-fee spaces.
